First spoken by Dr. Charles E. Holzer, Jr, these compassionate words, "The patient is the center of all we do,” have served to guide Holzer Health Systems from a 7 bed infirmary in 1909 to the high quality health care system we offer today.

Your health care needs a driving force behind the growth of Holzer Health Systems. For almost 100 years, the health and wellness of the communities we serve has been our driving vision. Our History is one of steady advancement, providing the most modern health care, diagnostics, and treatments available.

In 2002 and 2005, the need for convenient, comprehensive heart and cancer care led to a partnership between Holzer Medical Center and the Holzer Clinic in the development of the Holzer Cardiovascular Institute and the Holzer Center for Cancer Care.

An invaluable asset to area residents, the Cardiovascular Institute provides not only diagnostic evaluations, but immediate care when necessary, calling upon an experienced team of physicians and surgeons who have performed thousands of cardiac procedures with outstanding results.

Our new Center for Cancer Care features an excellent radiation oncology program, along with a linear accelerator that is only the third of its kind in the Nation, demonstrating our commitment to bringing the finest, state-of-the-art health care to your community.

Providing Wellness

In addition to providing health care, Holzer Consolidated Health System’s Mission Statement includes the encouragement of wellness in the communities we serve. Our wellness programs, support groups, ongoing classes, tobacco use prevention program, health and safety fairs, and our online wellness center are all steps toward that goal. Chaplain Services

Chaplaincy services provide routine pastoral visitation for patients and residents in each Holzer Health System facility. Services include emotional comfort and support, grief counseling, pastoral care & counseling, advance directives, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention.
