Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting our web site and taking the time to learn more about Holzer Medical Center.

Holzer Medical Center has a history of providing quality healthcare to the people of Gallia, Jackson, and Meigs Counties of Ohio; and Mason County, West Virginia; as well as outlying communities since its founding in the early 1900’s. Today, we remain committed to fulfilling our mission, which is to “encourage wellness and improve the health status of the people and communities we serve.”

We demonstrate our on-going commitment to our communities in several different ways, including:

• The development, in conjunction with the Holzer Clinic, of the Holzer Center for Cancer Care, which opened its new $12 million facility in May, 2005. This beautiful facility brings a broad array of treatment options for virtually all forms of cancer to our community, allowing treatment close to home.
• The development of the Holzer Cardiovascular Institute, also in conjunction with the Holzer Clinic, to quickly and accurately diagnose and treat heart disease, one of the most common causes of illness and death in our area.
• Substantial support of the economic well being of the area through an annual payroll of over $32 million.

However, the most significant way in which we demonstrate our commitment is in our human touch. Each and every day our employees, medical staff, and governing board reach out to support our patients, their families, and our communities; in good times and bad. It is this attitude of caring that most enables us to fulfill our mission.
