Holzer Medical Center, Jackson offers one medical / surgical patient care unit and one critical care unit. These are known as 2North and the Jackson CCU, both providing excellent patient care to the community we serve.

At 2North and the CCU, we have the ability to provide exceptional care in a state-of-the-art facility utilizing customer service oriented approaches. Services at 2North and CCU

Our medical/surgical unit, known as 2North, has a capacity of 21 beds and serves all inpatient admission, ranging from medical admissions to all post-operative patients. Our nursing staff is qualified to care for medically ill patients, telemetry patients, and all post-operative patients. 2North has the capability for eight telemetry monitors which are overseen by the Critical Care Nurse.

Our Critical Care Unit has a capacity for four patients and serves all critically ill patients admitted to the facility. The CCU manages acutely ill patients that may require ventilatory support, hemodynamic stabilizing, and other medical conditions

2North and the Critical Care Unit of Holzer Medical Center, Jackson, serve patients from Gallia, Pike, and Vinton Counties, including the towns of Jackson, Oak Hill, South Webster, Gallipolis, McArthur, Wellston, Piketon, Waverly, Beaver, and more.

Insurance/Payment

Typical patients for 2North and CCU are Medicare and Medicaid with a small percentage going to insurance and self-pay. We do experience the fearful patient that may believe that their insurance will not pay for their stay or a certain procedure, but that is not the case.

Department History

2North and the CCU have been in existence since the facility opened in December, 2000.
Previously, the community had accepted driving at least 30 minutes to obtain similar healthcare. We are proud to offer world-class healthcare closer to home.
