Welcome to the Holzer Medical Center - Jackson (HMC-J). My name is Ross
Matlack, President of Holzer Medical Center - Jackson.
HMC-J opened its doors to the community December 2000, and is one of the
newest and most modern hospitals in Ohio. The facility is a tremendous
asset for the greater Jackson area. HMC-J is committed to improving and
enhancing health care delivery and the health status of the communities
we serve.
HMC-J is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation
of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), Certified by Medicare, Accredited
with Distinction by the College of American Pathologists (CAP), in
addition to a number of successful state and local inspections. The
Hospital is staffed with physicians whose number and specialties
continue to expand for both inpatient and outpatient services.
HMC-J is a full-service, acute care hospital, with services including
24-hour physician-staffed Emergency Department; Express Care, an urgent
care service; state-of-the-art surgical services; a variety of therapy
services, including speech, occupational, physical, respiratory and
aquatic therapies; occupational medicine; mammography; MRI and many
other services, which are listed on this website. We are proud to be
