Orthopedic
Services
Department Overview
Seeing an orthopedic surgeon doesn’t always mean you will end up in
surgery. Orthopedic conditions can result from disease or from
injury to bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. Orthopedic
conditions vary, ranging from symptoms of joint pain and sports injury
to osteoporosis and foot and ankle problems, just to name a few.
Depending on your condition, you may require the expertise of an
orthopedic specialist to assess and treat your condition and determine
if surgery is needed.
With experienced, board certified surgeons, dedicated staff, and a
commitment to patient-focused orthopedics, Holzer Medical Center -
Jackson provides a service unmatched by local competitors. Our
highly trained orthopedic surgeons have years of experience and
specialty training in complex surgical techniques. Our nurses, medical
staff, and other health professionals, including physical therapists,
occupational therapists, and other physicians work hand-in-hand to
ensure patients heal as quickly and safely as possible.
Special
Services
Pre-surgery meetings with nurse educators help every patient
understand what to expect before, during, and after their orthopedic
surgery.
HMCJ offers an accredited Swing Bed program which allows Medicare
patients to remain at our facility following discharge for
rehabilitation. This provides the patient continued care by the
same physicians and support staff from their surgery, throughout
rehabilitation.
Patients of all ages and mobility are seen in our orthopedic center.
From sports or exercise related injuries to osteoarthritic patients, our
physicians treat a multitude of conditions resulting from disease or
injury to the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and nerves.
