Holzer Medical Center - Jackson

Holzer Medical Center - Jackson is now offering inpatient pediatric services at your community hospital. Dr. Mario Bautista, Dr. Morgan Paul, and a Pediatric Advanced Life Support Trained Staff are providing inpatient care for your children, from infancy up to age 18. It is no longer necessary to travel outside of the area for Inpatient Pediatric Care.

Childhood Immunizations

The following immunization chart is for informational purposes only. Consult with your child’s health care provider to determine the appropriate immunization shots for your child’s age and general health.

Birthday – 2 Months	Hep B (Hepatitis B)
2 Months	DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis). IPV (polio), Hep B (hepatitis B), Hib (Haemophulus influenza type b), PCV (pneumoccocal disease)
4 Months	DTaP, IPV, Hib, PCV
6 Months	DTaP, Hib, PCV, HepB, IPV
12 Months	MMR(Measles, Mumps, and Rubella / VPD (Varicella also called Chickenpox)
15-18 Months	HiHepb, PCV, DTap
4-6 Years (before starting school)	MMR, Var, DTaP, IPV
11-18 Years	Dtap, MCV4 (Miningococcal), HPV (Human Papilloma Virus)
Catch Up Shots
24 Months - 18 Years	Var (if child has not had the chickenpox shot and has never had chickenpox) Hep B (if child has not had the hepatitis B shots)
11-18 Years	MMR (if child has not had the MMR shots)
Note: Children may also need shots for Hepatitis A Yearly influenza (flu) Additional or catch-up pneumonococcal disease shots Ask your child’s health care provider if your child needs these and other shots (such as for foreign travel).

Resident Pediatrician

Dr. Mario Bautista. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Bautista completed his pediatric residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the University of Medicine of New Jersey, where he was nominated as the Most Outstanding Intern. He recently practiced medicine at the Pediatric Department and served as Chairman of Outpatient Services at Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Service in Gallup, New Mexico. Printable Version

Assisting with Inpatient Pediatric Services

Dr. Morgan Paul Dr. Morgan Paul received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio, and completed his family practice residency at The Toledo Hospital Family Practice, both located in Toledo, Ohio. He is Board Certified in Family Practice and received certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics.
