Roles of Hospice Volunteers
Teen Volunteers at Holzer HospiceHolzer Hospice Teen Volunteer program offers volunteer opportunities for teens who want to give back to the community. The Program is for teenagers between the ages of 13 and 20 who want to make a difference to Holzer Hospice patients and families, in addition to providing a method for teens who have school community service hours to fulfill. Activities performed by teen volunteers include visiting patients, cooking and baking, providing activities for visitors, assisting with fundraising activities, and office support. We work with the teen volunteers to see what they would like to do. A gesture such as baking cookies may seem small, but is truly appreciated by our patients and families, and will help volunteers feel good about what they can do. If you or a community group would like more information about the Teen Volunteer Program at Holzer Hospice, please call locally, (740) 446-5074 or toll free, 1-800-500-4850. Contact: Sharon Shull
