Holzer Medical Therapy Center in Jackson

Located in the Holzer Medical Center at 500 Burlington Road in Jackson, the Medical Therapy Center provides personalized, direct patient care in a state-of-the-art facility. Our therapists focus on helping patients and the community they serve achieve and maintain good physical health through fitness training, education, and rehabilitation.

Outpatient Services

We provide Outpatient services for various age groups, including: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Aquatic Therapy. Infants and young children are often referred to the pediatric facilities at Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis.

Therapy is directed at preventing the onset, minimizing the effects of, and/or rehabilitation of physical problems resulting from an injury or disease.

In Aquatic Therapy, water provides an excellent medium for movement in an anti-stress environment. Gentle water exercise uses the natural resistance of water to build muscle strength and flexibility. The warm water temperatures of our pool provide additional comfort for many patients with arthritis or tense muscles; however warm water is not recommended for pregnant women. To participate in aquatic therapy, patients must be continent of both bowl and bladder.

The Therapy Services department has been a part of Holzer Medical Center, Jackson since the center opened in late 2000.

Insurance/Payment

A common misconception is that your insurance will not cover the therapy you require. While your insurance may have a coverage limit, most insurances are accepted for Medical Therapy Center services, including Medicaid. Some insurance requires pre-certification before beginning Outpatient services, while others may place limits on the number of visits per year or limit coverage to certain therapeutic procedures.

If you do not have insurance, Holzer Business Office will work with you to work out a self-payment plan so that you can get the therapy that you need.
