Ryan Finch Named Healthcare Worker of the Year Nominee for Holzer Health System
Ryan Finch, MHA, MBA, Executive Director, Organizational Experience, was named the 2025 Ohio Hospital Association Albert E. Dyckes Healthcare Worker of the Year Nominee for Holzer Health System.

Ryan joined Holzer in February 2015, where he developed the Organizational Experience department offering support, resources, and coaching to countless internal and external customers.
Ryan has been instrumental in developing numerous strategic initiatives to enhance the patient experience and the organizational culture. He developed the Patient Family Advisory Council - inviting patient community members to provide direct feedback on our mission of healthcare. He chairs our Health Equity Committee, where the mission is to address disparities in healthcare, actively partner with community agencies and create impactful programs that make a difference throughout our service area. His efforts changed the landscape for the Health System in how we volunteer and leverage community resources to attain the highest level of health. He spearheads multiple collaborative programs aimed to address social determinants and health outcomes. Ryan also initiated the Congregational Health Network which is designed to connect senior adults who experience loneliness with local churches as well as accessible health screenings.

His commitment to service exemplifies the spirit of Holzer. Ryan’s dedication is evident in his daily work, always willing to go the extra mile. Staff frequently turn to him when concerns arise, whether they involve a complaint or needs like housing assistance or transportation. His willingness to assist showcases his deep empathy to ensuring everyone feels valued.”
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys working outdoors, reading and fishing. He has a daughter, Jenna, and a son, Noah.
The Ohio Hospital Association will recognize Ryan and other candidates from hospitals throughout the state at their annual meeting in May. OHA asked that nominee criteria include great leader qualities, goes beyond the call of duty, reflects the mission and values of the organization, and gives back to the community.
