Holzer Medical Center - Jackson earns Five-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

Holzer Medical Center – Jackson (HMCJ) recently received an overall Five-Star Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The comprehensive rating, conducted by CMS, included a health inspection, a review of quality measures and a study of staffing.
Earning the Five-Star Quality Rating is a great achievement and while the positive report is certainly a cause for celebration, the commitment to providing quality care won’t change.
“The staff at HMCJ is very excited to be recognized for this achievement,” shares Lori Cremeans, MSN, RN, CRRN, FACHE, Vice President, Jackson Operations. “We will continue to provide the very best care for the communities we serve.”
The Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating summarizes a variety of measures across 5 areas of quality into a single star rating for each hospital. Once reporting thresholds are met, a hospital’s Overall Star Rating is calculated using measures for which data are available. The star rating reflects a hospital’s performance across five measures, which are patient experience, safety, mortality, readmissions, and timely and effective care.
“We’re very proud of the accomplishments of our staff at HMCJ,” stated Rodney Stout, MD, Chief Executive Officer, Holzer Health System. “Our staff is committed to providing the very best care possible, in a family-friendly environment.”
