Wellness Center COVID-19 Safety Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be screened upon entry?
Yes. We do have staff at the entrance of the Wellness Center checking temperatures, providing masks if needed, and directing Therapy patients.

Do I have to wear a mask?
Masks/face coverings are recommended but not required.

What about social distancing?
We request that members maintain a radius of physical/social distance of 6 feet between one another. With equipment that is less than 6 feet apart, please use every other piece of equipment to maintain at least 6 feet separation.

What are you doing to prevent disease spread?
The Wellness Center staff will be cleaning the restrooms and common surfaces including counters, door knobs, keypads, etc. every 2 hours. In addition, staff will consistently wipe down and clean equipment. We use medical-grade solvents to reduce the spread of any infectious disease. In addition, we encourage all members to wipe down equipment before and after each use. Multiple sanitizer stations are located inside the facility. Gloves and sani-wipes are available.

What will your hours be?
As of September 14, 2020, we are now open 24 hours/7 days a week.

What about hours for seniors or immuno-compromised/vulnerable individuals?
We are offering the hour of 11 a.m. to Noon, Monday through Saturday for those who would like to use the Center that fall within the senior/immuno-compromised/vulnerable population. No other members will be allowed to enter the Wellness Center during this time. The Vulnerable Population includes the elderly age group with underlying co-morbidities; for example an individual member that may have respiratory issues or cardiopulmonary issues.

What about classes?
Classes have resumed at the Wellness Center. Classes do practice physical/social distancing of the recommended 6 ft radius. Classed are limited to the 50 percent of the Eastman Family Community Room occupancy.

What about free weights?
Free weights can be used as long as members wipe down equipment before and after use.

Will water fountains be accessible?
No. According to the guidelines released for re-opening, we are not able to utilize the water fountains. Members are encouraged to bring in water with them.

Will showers be accessible?
Locker rooms are available for members.

Can I use the sauna?
The sauna is closed until guidelines allow us to open them.

Will there be a limit on how many members can come in?
Our facility will be able to have 80 members in the building at one time. If we are reaching capacity, our screeners will inform members upon coming in. If individuals would like to check to see if they can come in and work out, they are encouraged to call us at (740) 446-5502.
