Think Holzer First

Message from the CEO

Dr. CanadyWhat do those three words mean to me? Quite simply, we want to be the “front door” to health care for you. We don’t provide every service — but I believe what we provide is done as well as it can be done anywhere. AND you get to stay close to home! If we can’t provide the service, we want to help you find the right provider, and then take care of you when you complete that treatment. We are conveniently located throughout rural southeastern Ohio and western West Virginia, and we want to be your first thought when you are in need of healthcare.

Think Holzer First means a lot to our Holzer. So much, in fact, that they are included in our culture commitment that our employees embrace. The Holzer family contributed so much to our area, including the first hospital in southeastern Ohio. Today, we want to continue the legacy that Dr. Charles Holzer began many years ago. Holzer has been providing quality healthcare to our communities for over 100 years, but that’s not all we do. We also provide jobs that help support our communities. We are your neighbors, your friends and your family... caring for each other. It’s one of the many things I love about this rural area in which we live. We appreciate your confidence in us, and we hope that when you need healthcare, you’ll THINK HOLZER FIRST!

- Michael Canady, MD, MBA, CPE, FACS, FAAPL, FACHE
Chief Executive Officer, Holzer Health System
