Registered Nurses within Perioperative Services work in multiple aspects, including the Operating Room, Pre-Admissions, Pre-Operative and Post-Operative settings.

Our Team
The Periperative Team consists of:
- Registered Nurses
- Certified Surgical Technologists (Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) for Surgical Technology (CST), or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) for Tech in Surgery (TS-C))
- Nursing Assistants
- Receptionists
- Surgery Schedulers
- Central Supply Technicians (on the job training for Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Certification)
Locations
- Main Operating Room - Holzer Gallipolis (main campus)
- Includes 7 ORs and an endoscopy suite
- Ambulatory Surgery Centers - 3 locations
- Gallipolis, Athens, and Jackson with 3 ORs respectively
- The Hospital Surgery Unit within perioperative services is a specialty unit within Holzer.
Nurse Certification
Our RNs obtain the CNOR or CPAN exam after criteria is met (which requires at least two years of experience in-specialty). This is just one of our ways of providing high quality, safe patient care!
