The BEE Award

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Every day. This award will be given to a Holzer employee, on a quarterly basis, that honors the compassionate and exceptional care delivered by our staff every day. And in the case of Support Services, exceptional customer service shown to another staff member or department.

Selection of the BEE award is based upon exemplifying the acronym POLLEN.
P = Passion and compassion shown to patients or fellow employees each day
O = Outstanding teamwork
L = Love for their job
L = Leadership displayed by taking ownership of one’s own actions and contributing to the success of the Hive by setting the example for others
E = Empathy / Establishes a special connection through kindness and sincerity
N = Nurturing excellence through identifying ways to improve departmental processes and seeking out professional development
