Visiting Hours
EFFECTIVE October 4, 2022:
Masking is no longer required in clinical areas within our facilities.* If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, please wear a mask.
*As required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS), employees who received a waiver from the vaccine requirement and who are not a part of the long-term care division are required to wear a surgical mask while at work within a Holzer facility. Separate rules continue to apply to the long-term care division facilities.
Effective March 21, 2022: Visitor restrictions have been lifted for hospital and outpatient departments, EXCEPT for those visiting COVID patients and the Maternity Unit.
Please see the visitors policy for COVID patients here.
MATERNITY/OB UNIT: Three visitors will be allowed during a maternity patient's stay with (1) designated person allowed to stay in room overnight. Inpatients will be provided three badges when admitted to Labor and Delivery for visitors. Sibling visitation will be daily from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
PEDIATRIC VISITATION DURING RESPIRATORY DISEASE SEASON: We consider families to be a part of the care team at Holzer. Parents are encouraged to be with their child as much as possible. We suggest visits from friends and other family members be brief and limited to two. Please check with your child’s nurse for more specific guidelines about visitation on your child's unit. We want to maintain the best patient care environment possible.
Hours: Normal visiting hours are from 11 AM to 8 PM All inpatient visitors must be healthy and 12 years of age and older.
Between 6 PM and 6 AM, the main entrance to the hospital is locked. You can use the Emergency Department entrance to enter the hospital during this time. Badge required.
Our number one priority is to make sure our patients avoid exposure to the colds and viruses circulating in the community this time of year. Visitor restrictions are subject to change at any time in accordance with varying transmission of illness in the community.
Restrictions. Young children cannot fight off germs as well as adults. To protect the health and safety of our patients the following people should not visit the hospital:
